WALKING

Pre-Gait Trainers Should crawl before you walk!
This helps to develop gross motor skills and stability in both their arms and legs – Muscle Strength. However, several developmental disabilities can inhibit this process, including Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spina Bifida, and various physical abnormalities.
The skill of crawling or Pre-ambulatory skills can be learned with Innovative adaptive devices/ equipment.
Gait Trainer or walker helps in providing stability, support and allow you to preserve weight-bearing restrictions while walking. Regardless of your unique situation, walkers have been selected because of their reputation for quality and therapeutic benefit for children and adults with special needs.
Crawling is an important milestone in child development A child should follow the natural progression towards mastering the Pre-ambulatory skills and ambulatory skills. It is important to crawl on hands and knees and follow cross body pattern (Meaning: left arm and Right leg move together, and right arm and left leg move together).
Many of the walkers are in a reverse orientation (posterior walker), which facilitates a more natural and stable gait for most users.
Anterior Walkers are placed in front of the user and are often used with individuals that need to lean forward to propel themselves but have difficulty maintaining their balance while doing so.
Standard walkers employ a rigid design with 4 legs that are usually adjustable for patients of different heights. They are typically made of aluminium or Mild Steel. For ambulation, these walkers require that the user lift the device and move it forward. Therefore, this design requires a certain degree of upper extremity strength and coordination.
One-handed (“hemi walker”) One-handed designs have been developed to be used by patients who have limited or no use of one arm or hand.

CRAWLER
Building Pre-Ambulatory Skills with Innovative Adaptive Equipment
Learning to crawl properly prior to walking is an important part ofdevelopment milestone.Adjustable Supportive SAGE Crawler helps a child in exploring their surrounding environment. The crawler helps develop basic crawling skills.

TR 54 GAIT TRAINERS
The SAGE TR 54 is an easy-to-use, adjustable anterior gait trainer / walker for individuals. A well-designed gait trainer, like the SAGE TR 54, helps user to achieve proper positioning and provides the dynamic weight bearing and weight shifting needed for a more natural gait pattern and easier stepping.

INTERIOR WK
The SAGE Rollator/ Anterior Walkers were specifically designed for children who can support weight on their legs and take steps but lack postural control and the ability to bear weight efficiently through their arms as required by traditional walkers.

Posterior walker is places at Posterior position (Behind the user) as they stand and move. A Posterior Walker is designed to help users stand and walk in an upright position.

TR55 FOL
The SAGE TR 55 is a Foldable Gait trainer easy-to-use, adjustable anterior gait trainer / walker for individuals.

HEMI WALKER
It is referred to as the side-stepper or one-handed walker. SAGE Hemi walker is a better substitute for those who are looking for a middle variant between a two-handed walker and a crane.

GAIT TRAINER
GAIT in the complex rehab real meaning — to walk. Besides the obvious potential benefit of gait training — Learn to walk without using the gait trainer — there are other benefits also. When compiling the possible clinical benefits of gait training, benefits of being upright in a standing frame can be achieved. Gait trainers are used for standing mobility when an individual is not yet able to consistently bear full weight through their legs, Postural control is developing, and cognitive skills are present to support the motivation to move from one place to another. Gait trainer offer the user a form of safe, independent mobility in the standing position often long before the individual is capable of walking on their own. This provides the opportunity to build postural strength and stability, Alternating/ reciprocal leg movements for stepping and helps to improve overall endurance. Gait Trainers Support children in upright standing promotes social interactions and self- confidence.
